KOEI Character Polls

I don't know how many of you keep track of KOEI's official JAP websites, but recently, they held polls to see who were the most popular characters of their Warriors franchises. Needless to say, the results make me happy :D
The first four popular characters are given new CGI artwork. Beautiful images, too :D

I feel like whining forever, but I will *NOT* do that publicly. :D

Oh well, same old "no one from Shu is in the top three, my favorite character is nowhere near the most popular characters" yaddle yaddle yaddle. You know, the usual. :D

At least some of the top characters are among those I like - Xiahou Dun, Zhang Liao, Sakon Shima, Masamune Date - and Xiahou Yuan and Lu Meng didn't do too badly. And I never expected my main gruff 'n scruff to win any popularity contests. Still, it's a reminder of how different my tastes are from those of KOEI's core audience, and an indication that character design trends I dislike will continue. Japan clearly loves the Squeenix mall fashion influence that I want to kill with fire.

Maybe poor Cao Ren would be higher up if KOEI hadn't ruined him. I no longer vote for him as my favorite character unless I get to specify his one true old school incarnation. -_-

Xiahou Dun followed by Lu Xun in the 2 and 3 spots = very happy day for me. XD

Not a lot of Wu love, sadly, but the stable of newly introduced characters for Wu kingdom was pretty stale compared to others. I'm surprised Jin did so strongly... though neither of the two rulers they introduced made the top 10.

Pity Sun Ce couldn't make the top 10, but I guess that's the only complaint I can make.

Did anyone else throw that page into translator to try and find their fav chars? Because LOL (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gamecity.ne.jp%2Fsmusou6%2Fenquete%2Findex.html). I think the most amusing is "Zhuge Birthday" Oh, translations...

Wang Yuanji, awesome!

And they should have known better Gracia would be this popular. XD

Ehhh... Wang Yuanji is overrated in my opinion, but then again I don't like tsundere types. *shrugs*

Happy at Xiahou Dun, LX and Zhao Yun's placings! :D
