Introductory/first post

Inspired to join by turdburgler, I figured this would be a good place to talk about DW/SW/WO with someone other than them. After all, I prattle on incessantly about WO in my own journal currently and SW2 back when I started playing it. Anyways, I'm a huge DW/SW/WO addict- my quest to max all the characters out, unlock everything, and get everything there is to get can border on obsession some times.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking. :)

I rarely play characters much outside my group of favorites. I'm trying, with WO, to branch out a bit. Especially on the DW front because there's just so many playable characters, and a lot of them are very similar, and are trolls or big beefy guys, which isn't usually my thing.

You should branch out, you might find people you like! Truthfully the only people I don't like playing are Shingen (too bad, because he's hysterical), Zhang Jiao, Lu Meng, Huang Gai, Yoshimoto, and Pang Tong. Dong Zhou is in the big troll category, but he basically plays like the leader-sword guys (Liu Bei/Cao Cao/Sun Jian/Yuan Shao), he's just stronger but slower. And I know you hate Xu Zhu, but honestly, he's not as slow and unmanagable once you level him up high. I guess the problem is getting him that high. Actually, I guess having high impulse helps also, because once you have impulse 20, no one is really slow.

Actually, I think my two favorites of the "big guy" category are Goemon and Xiahou Yuan. They're pretty fun to play, and they have good movesets. As bad ass as Dian Wei is supposed to be, his range kinda sucks. And while Shimazu has a really cool moveset and not that slow, for some reason it doesn't feel like he's hitting as hard as he should be.

Another person I think people shy away from because of their moveset, but they shouldn't, is Ranmaru. His swings are slow ass initially, but like I said, once you give him agility 10, his SSSTTT skyrockets him to one of the best since that once slow and unmanagable combo becomes a crowd and officer killer.

Zhang Jiao is the worst worst worst. I've been leveling him up with Growth Points in the Character Growth section when I'm about to over-run 99,999 points so I won't have to play him and won't waste my growth points. Unfortunately though, leveling up doesn't unlock proficiency levels. So I'll still have to play him. *boo*

Is Xiahou Yuan the Wei guy with all the funny sarcastic and vaguely rude dialogue?

I think I only have about 5-6 characters left unplayed at this point, but most of the characters that have been are only around level 30. Since the discovery of the 6th gallery image being unlocked by character level 60, I've been trying to figure out what I'm going to do about the characters that I don't like playing because that obsessive-compulsive completest bug is starting to get me this time around.

I guess I may run them through JIAN-YE (Wu 3-x) a few times to get their proficiency to max and see if I can't get them to level 60. But at that point, why not go to the slightly extra effort of getting their 4th weapons too?

None of my characters are at character level 99 yet.

I suppose that's him, he does say "Not bad for a girl" whenever Nagamasa kills an officer/gets 50 kills. He used a club and bow, is supposed to be Huang Zhong's rival.
