So dissapointed with Dynasty Warriors 6...

So, I don't know if news has reached everyone here yet, but...

Dynasty Warriors 6 hit shelves today in Hong Kong, and rather than new additions to the character roster, seven characters got the axe. (Six if you don't count Zuo Ci...)

Da Qiao
Xing Cai
Jiang Wei
Pang De
Zhu Rong
Meng Huo
Zuo Ci (We pretty much surmised this, though...)

And only 17/41 remaining characters actually have a Musou Mode. :/

I'm EXTREMELY bummed out, considering Da Qiao was my favorite character in the entire series. -.-; She's pictured in the artwork for Xiao Qiao, who did not get cut, but she's definitely not playable, if she even makes an appearance in the game at all.

Xing Cai seems to have been liquidated entirely, as she's pictured in Zhang Fei's character art work, but as a chubby toddler.

Everyone else is completely MIA.

I think the main reason was time line. From what I've heard the game starts at a point in which Da Qiao was already dead, and ends out before Jiang Wei came along, and when Xing Cai was too young to fight. Though while it seems they are trying to be more historically accurate in some areas, they are really failing in others.
Da Qiao doesn't bother me nearly as much as Jiang Wei or the Nanman who has seemed to be the one that's left the fans completely devastated.

Personally I've grown to love all the new designs, if I didn't just adore them to begin with. I'm really amused though with the suspicious similarity between Ling Tong and Gan Nings new DW6 designs and the ones from Koutetsu Sangokushi... Especially on Ling Tong's part. (sima yi's weapons aswell)

And gameplay wise, it looks amazing~! As I said while watching Zhou Yu's... he could be an old homeless guy in a pink sun dress and I would still buy the game for him fighting like that. I haven't seen all the characters in action yet, but I have some pretty strong faith in Koei with what I have seen so far. I even find myself more Calm about the lack of Tonfas on Sun Ce... which is a miracle. Koei hasn't let this fan down yet, so I have complete faith they won't this time around either.

I've become more excited over this game then I have about ANYTHING in years... to the import point definitely. And not just because I worry about Dub ruining it, but because I'll serious go insane waiting that long. (Because as I said with the looks with gameplay before... they could be played by monkeys and I wouldn't care at this point)

My first thought when I saw Ling Tong, Lu Xun, Gan Ning, and Sima Yi's weapons was: "I bet the Koei artists are fans of Koutetsu Sangokushi", LOL.
