Warriors Orochi
I have accomplished all of the following:
====================================
- all stages unlocked
- all characters unlocked
- all skills unlocked
- everyone is level 30 or higher
- everyone is max proficiency
- everyone has at least their 1-3 weapons unlocked in the gallery
- everyone has at least their pictures 1-3 and 5 unlocked in the officer gallery
I have done probably about 20% of this for all characters:
================================================
- acquired Personal Items (gallery picture #4)
- acquired 4th weapons
- character level 60 or higher (gallery picture #6)
With all of that accomplished now, I figure it's time to start getting PIs and 4ths. I started with SW1 group of characters and am basically going through in order, getting everyone's personal item, then getting them up to character level 60, then playing them through ANEGAWA to get 4th weapons.
I prefer ANEGAWA, Wu 5-x, for getting 4th weapons to the faq's recommended Wu 4-x (Wan Castle) for a number of reasons. In Anegawa:
- there's a lot more room to move around in the stage when fighting hoards of officers (you don't get backed into a corner as easily),
- there's a lot more time in between officer groups to heal if it becomes an issue,
- your commander never has any problems staying alive (which is nice for once),
- and Wu 4-x (Wan Castle) is FILLED WITH ARCHERS and RIFLEMEN which are very VERY annoying -- and they come back immediately after you kill them, so it's not like you can clear them out and go free-sailing into the officer-slaughter-sunset; you have to deal with them constantly.
The only downside is that Anegawa takes 10 - 12min to play and you only get one extra weapon (I think?), whereas Wu 4-x (Wan Castle) takes about 5min iirc. Ah well! :D

( ANEGAWA -- detailed strategy (LONG) )

I usually don't tackle personal items until the character is at least level 30, but since you can get them on easy, it doesn't really matter how high their character level is. You can get them at pretty much any time, and sometimes even accidentally.
For 4th weapons, *everyone* in your group has to be at least level 60 (it is HARD playing on HARD mode, and you *WILL* have to switch out your characters from time to time in order to be able to complete the stage, even maxed out characters who already have their 4ths and PIs).

Of course, as I mention above, starting with the SW1 characters means... Oda and Akechi, two of the arguably most hard-to-get personal items (I have Oichi equipped as #3 just because).
( Oda Nobunaga's Personal Item -- I had some problems getting it, ugh... )
-+-
( Akechi Mitsuhide's Personal Item -- I actually did a terrible job the first time, but... )
