Hey guys,

Long time Dynasty Warriors/Shin Sangoku Musou fan here. <3 (Been on board since the release of 3.)

I have some of the Dynasty Warriors 4/Shin Sangoku Musou 3 figures to sell, if anyone was interested.

They're all in the original packaging, and their boxes were only opened to identify which figure was which. They're still un-assembled in their original plastic wrap.

I have Liu Bei, Sima Yi and Zhuge Liang available. These are pretty rare nowadays, and whenever they pop up on eBay, they're over priced as all hell, but I'm only asking $7.00 for each one of them. With $4.00 shipping & handling for each one as well.

So that's $11.00 for each one. I have some pictures of the figures below, they're borrowed from eBay, but I could photograph the figures if need be. I'd be willing to accept PayPal or Money Order only, no checks.

I've never been a fan of Sima Yi in any of the DW/WO games, and then, lo, in DW7 I saw this:

... and I was rendered speechless. I had to go back and rewatch it like a hundred times. And stare. And drool.

Wow.

He's still not my favorite character, but my, he's surely gone up in the ranks. I definitely like him better than Zhugers now. (It also helps that the Jin family storyline gives a whole new perspective to his character and role in the RotK)

Consider this an upgrade and replacement for the DW4: XL dump I posted a while back. It includes the large portraits on the character select page - which I hadn't been able to extract before - and higher resolution versions of the in-battle faces and character busts, with their transparency preserved as well. I also threw in some wallpaper-style images of the kingdom leaders.

Regarding the DW7 DLC to get the DW1 costumes for five characters.

These "dynasty warriors" costumes are, I presume (never having played DW1), re-imagined and updated versions resembling their DW1 costumes. Note that the characters themselves and their weapons are the DW7 versions, its just their clothes that are the DW1 versions. The five characters are: Diao Chan, Lu Bu, Taishi Ci, Xiahou Dun, and Zhao Yun.

Anyway, I took some pics with my phone, along with a very bad quality screen cap comparison picture from DW1. And here they are, behind a cut in case you don't want to be SPOILED on their appearances before you buy the add-on yourself.

So we finally got our beloved Dynasty Warriors 7 game and throughout the long time of waiting and expectation and stuff we had formulated certain opinions and speculations about story modes and gameplay details and weapons and characters. Maybe it was the anxiety speaking, maybe it was the feeling of disappointment of the fear of not knowing what to expect from the game.

But now the game has been released and I believe that most of people here have already played the game until your fingers bled profusely. So this is what I'm interested to know:

1. What did you first think of your favorite character? Did you get disappointed with him/her now that you played the game?
2. What did you think of the Story Modes?
3. Were you right about any characters you first thought about?
4. Were you wrong about any characters you first thought about?
5. Are there any characters that at first gave you a hell of a hype but ended up disappointing you?
6. Are there any characters to whom you didn't give a damn but ended up as your favorite ones?
7. Looking forward for the next DW? :P

If anyone out there is better versed in extracting images, I would very much appreciate some help. (Or, better yet, high-res dumps from the PC versions. I've been meaning to acquire those to tinker with, but haven't gotten around to it yet.)

Finally, some characters of DW7 are revealed again! One of them is Cao Pi! Oh yes, before I forgot. They (KOEI UK) also update the screenshots. Of course, it's about the characters that the KOEI revealed.

Cao Pi

My wish is came true again! (the first wish is the existence of Jin Empire in DW world) Cao Pi’s hairstyle is like in DW5! The ponytail is back! I’m so happy! *dancing around with Zhang He* But, I don’t really like his outfit. The outfit is not bad, but it looks so plain for a prince and mostly for an emperor. I don’t know. Maybe it because there's no cape, so it looks plain in my eyes. When I see his screenshots, it doesn't look plain at all. Weird.

The revealed characters besides Cao Pi:

Shu: Zhang Fei, Guan Yu, Guan Ping & Guan Suo [Bao Sanniang’s husband]
Wei: Cao Pi & Xu Zhu.
Wu: Sun Jian.

Last I checked, the official website of DW7 is not updated the characters yet. Maybe they’ll update it later. I knew about the characters and I get the pictures from KOEI Warriors UK website, so I credit to them. Please, credit to them if you want to use it too.

My comment for the other characters:
Zhang Fei & Guan Yu are still the same, and I think there's nothing weird.
Xu Zhu also still the same, there's not much change.

Guan Ping

Somehow he's really different from before, even from he used to be. But he's not bad, he becomes cuter and his hair is cool. Even though, I think spiky hair like that *points below* is not exist in the Han Dynasty. Well, let's just laugh about it. Don't get irritated because of it.

Guan Suo

Based on the history of Han Dynasty, Guan Suo is supposedly just a fictional character because there's no textual works about him. His existence is based on folklore. He's Guan Yu's third son, so he's Guan Ping's younger brother. He is Bao Sanniang's husband. For me, he's face is cute. The outfit is cool, even though I doubt there's a men-shirt in the Han Dynasty. And there's something that makes me raise one eyebrow, it's the flower on his head. I know, it's only an accessories but please ... a flower?? That thing is not match with his ~~sexy~~ muscular body! Well, that's what I think. Overall, he's not bad.

Sun Jian

Now our Lord Sun Jian, the Lord of all Tigers in Jian Dong is back to normal. No more spiky hair! Thank God! But I think if he wear a helmet like he used to, he'll look more great than this.

Okay, I think that's it for now. I hope this news is helpful for you guys.
I still curious about Gan Ning's, so I have to wait patiently.

And Your Reward Is Clothes: In DW5 and probably other titles, one of the benefits you get for leveling up is the ability to select alternate outfits for your character. These are often taken from previous iterations of the game.

Chronic Hero Syndrome: Zhou Tai's story mode, especially in DW5, revolves around rescuing Sun Quan... over and over again.

Evil Laugh: Sima Yi. The eviller he gets, the more he laughs.

Go Karting with Bowser: Ling Tong's ending in DW5, in which he challenges his blood enemy Gan Ning to their final contest... a game of Go.
