What number are we on?

This might be a dumb question but I'm confused. I saw a pic from Warriors Orochi 3 but it had a 2 on it, making me thing it was Warriors Orochi 2. It confused me because I already have Orochi 2. Why is there a 2 instead of a 3?

What we got as WO2 actually didn't have a number in the title in Japan - it was called Musou Orochi: Maou Sairin instead, so Japan treated it as more of a side-story type game rather than an actual sequel.
