I got WO today. The release date for us (I'm in Virginia, USA) was the 18th. Even on single player mode, it almost seems impossible to beat alone. I have to baby sit here and defend there all at the same time. *frustrated*

Oh and grr they changed my voice actors again! I was so pissed w/ Zhu Rhongs voice during the last one that I stopped playing it. So far, I only hear a change in Hideoyoshi's voice.

As long as they've kept Cao Cao's VA {I think his DW5 one was the best} it'll be fine... I hope. x[

I've still got another week until it comes out here, but when it does, it'll be my holidays. So that's good.

They change Hideyoshi's voice for better or worse?
He's one of the very few Sengoku characters I play, so he'd better not sound retarded. Like my poor Sima Yi. x_x

The only change I'm happy with on the SW side of things is Ranmaru's. His VA in SW2 was grating... But they've changed Yukimura's and Nobunaga's too, and I loved both theirs before! I'm playing on Xbox and I wish they'd kept the option to use the Japanese voices instead, like they did early on.

I know it was on the first SW game on Xbox (not PS2), but I never bothered to check the DW games for it.

I heard this one is more SW than DW, is that true? If you're babysitting it must be. :P I hated it when they changed Sun Ce's voice the last time. :(

I don't have the babysitting problem so much, but then I usually take the initiative and try to figure out where all the surprise attacks/reinforcements/fire arrows are going to be.

Doesn't always work, though. :x Gets easier with the cavelier skill so you're mounted at the start.

A month late, but ah well.

Hideyoshi's voice and Uesugi Kenshin's voices are the biggest voice changes that I've noticed so far (mostly because I've played SW2 far more recently than DW5), and they are both ear-bleeding. Uesugi used to have that nice, stern baritone voice in SW1 and SW2 but now he sounds like a weenie. Hideyoshi still has that monkey-ish quality to his voice, but somehow in this game it has managed to become really snivelling and annoying. I can't really explain the difference adequately....

I preferred Ranmaru's SW2 voice to his SW1 voice -- sure, his SW2 voice actress was a girl, but I find that preferable to his SW1 voice where it was an obvious guy pretending to sound like a girl, yet (IMO) doing it poorly. This version of Ranmaru is more similar to the SW2 version, but somehow a little different (still a girl, as far as I can tell). I like it well enough, though.

I miss the amusingly vapid Okuni from SW1. She's gotten progressively snobbier and snobbier the more games she's been in. Her SW1 character was hilariously stupid, and I adored that version of her for that reason. Ah well.

I wish they'd would change Lu Bu's voice back to the DW4 version, including and especially his angrily roared catch phrase "who else seeks death?!". Was much better than DW5's "is there no one who can present a challenge?" (or somesuch).
