13 slots total. We have 10 characters revealed so that's 3 remaining slots. Who hasn't been revealed yet? Xu Huang, Xu Zhu, Cao Pi and Pang De.

It is looking extremely likely that Pang De has indeed been cut. There was a rumor list somebody had leaked that listed names of new characters we'd be getting and that Pang De and Zuo Ci would not be returning. So far, the leak has been correct about all of the new characters (even Lian Shi) so it looks like it's pretty accurate. I'd say there's a high chance that we are not getting Pang De back this time around.

I hope that the 13 characters "restriction" is just for Wei. Because if all the characters are to have only 13 characters, Shu is only missing Guan Yu and Zhang Fei. Which would mean no Guan Ping for me.

Nah I don't think all the Kingdoms have the same number of characters. In DW6, Wu had the most, then it was either Shu or Wei.

I think we're safe. Guan Yu and Zhang Fei have made appearances in the trailer. As for Guan Ping, I think he should be safe even if there's been no word of his return yet. (There hasn't been word of return for characters like Gan Ning yet either, so that's why I'm optimistic.)

Well... I was thinking about how much this game has disappointed me so far, and how I didn't want to buy it for more than £10 (unless it came with an ACTUAL Cao Cao... MAYBE) and now I'm thinking... I MIGHT just rent it.

It's not just that I'm a huge Pang De fantard, but the fact that Jin and Bao Sanniang have been included in the game at the expense of a character that was kickass and had the potential for a really great character development.

Sorry, but Bao Sanniang alone brings this game down by a mile and a half. You can't include a fuck like that and drop a decent character. I don't care if Shu needs more women - just bring in a concubine for all I care, as long as she looks like a slut and not a cheap prostitute ¬¬

I hear you. I had been all set to import this for the treasure box schwag. Then along came the ruined setting immersion and the prioritizing of love interest adds over characters with more potential for a nuanced and varied narrative. The voice samples are hit or miss by Dynasty Warriors standards, laughable compared to the better current-gen games I've been playing.

I am still interested in the weapon switching, and I want to see what they wind up doing with the story. Even so, my primary remaining interest in this game is various friends' desire to see me snark it with a Let's Play, and I would be renting, borrowing, or buying used. This series had potential to add depth and weight while continuing to entertain. I'm tired of seeing said potential squandered, and all I can do is vote with my wallet.

Admittedly, I will still buy this game on the first day it comes out but UGH agreed on Sanniang. I'm trying to stay somewhat optimistic but I just cannot see myself liking her. Ever. Everything about her so far has just rubbed me the wrong way.

Yeah, I'm not too happy about Wei having that many fewer characters than Shu and Wu. Even if they are connected with Jin, it still feels like a cheap rip-off. Wei arguably has the most interesting and unique characters so it's super disappointing that they're getting shafted here.

I was teetering on the edge of "This might be a passable game" and "God, Tecmo...what the hell have you done?" however I am now in the Fangirl Rage category.

Why? Lian Shi. Who the HELL is she other than Lara Flynn Boyle in a Wu costume? No.No.NO! Talk about pulling a character out of NOWHERE for just fanservice. Like little Fanboys need to fuss over who else they can marry in DW7: Empires.

I was iffy on Bao Shennigans when she was announced but let her slide because I thought she was a Kessen 2 tribute. Any idea that that was the case has been stomped to death.

Really sad when you look at these characters and all you can think is "At least the hentai doujin circles are happy."

I just want more character depth on the people we already love...however that's apparently just a dream lost in the deep cavern between Lian Shi's extraterrestrial boobs.

I don't think I'm going to be playing this game since the sixth one SUCKED...SO...BAD DX. I'll just look at the reviews to see if it's worth getting it.
